Incredible

You know the best thing about that new Incredible Hulk trailer?

Better than Eddie freakin' Norton as Bruce Banner? Better than William Hurt, Tim Roth, and the ever-gorgeous Liv Tyler? (Who even needs the big green bloke?) Better than guest appearances from the Abomination and Doc Samson - and rumoured cameos from Tony Stark and Nick Fury (though still no Rick Jones).

Best thing of all? Those strings at the end. Just a few notes, but they went all the way through me. Bill Bixby lives.

Could do without Eddie freakin' Norton, who always acts like he's got something painful stuck up his bum. The trailer looks ace though, like all the best bits of the comics and TV series combined. Well, apart from the lumpy Abomination. I want him fish-faced.

I won't have a word said against Eddie - he can act that Bana bloke of the screen any day of the week.

I'm reserving judgement on the Abomination (and the Hulk himself) till I see the whole thing. SFX rarely work well for me in 2 second trailer flashes.

I've always maintained that the Hulk is really hard to render in CGI on the big screen so I try and leave it out when I judge whether or not I'm excited about this film.

I mean I love Farscape and can look past the obvious puppets so Hulk SFX don't phase me. If they do even a fraction as well as they did with Iron Man I'll be pretty happy.

Marvel having direct control over its property appears to be a really great thing! Edward Norton really intrigues me and I am keen to see where he takes this.

Agreed Lee - the alternative is just having another muscle man in green paint, a la Ferringo - which worked fine for the smaller scale of the TV show, but just isn't right for the big screen, tank-chucking, mountain-leaping Jade Jaws.

Looks pretty good, but it comes third on my list of superhero films i am slathering at the jaw to see. I was always more of a DC chap so Batman is top of my current list.

Afraid I've always been on the other side of the fence, Dan... though The Dark Knight does look like it'll be a corker.

It goes Hellboy 2, Indy 4, Iron Man, Batman 2 and Hulk 2 for me.

That poster looks just like one of the covers from the Jones/JRJR run.

After hyping up the cross-continuity for about a year, they've apparently consigned the cameos to the DVD extras now. At least in Iron Man, which is apparently completely Fury-less. I'd expect the same to happen with Hulk 2. :(

There is a brief cameo Kelvin, if you stay after the credits. Which is why most people, myself included, missed it.

Iron Man then Hulk for this Marvel fanboy :)

I'll probably go see HB2, K, but I really didn't dig the first one - taste is a weird thing, eh?

Indy 4 - as I've mentioned before - I have a BAD feeling about. I can't help thinking "Phantom Menace".

Tone - thinking back to your original comment about Norton having a stick up his arse... doesn't that make him perfect casting for Bruce Banner? There's no one in the world with a bigger stick!
