A Favourite Things meme, courtesy of Reluctant Blogger. I shall answer all the ones I haven't covered in great detail here before...
1. Clothes Shops
Favourite clothes shops? Are you kidding me? I'm a bloke! Furthermore, I'm a bloke who knows so little (and cares even less) about fashion as to make shopping for clothes both a nightmare and a drudgery. When I have to buy clothes, I will. As cheaply as possible, and without many concessions to fashion (unless Louise gets involved). My favourite clothes shops therefore are the ones that are having a big sale of stuff I can see myself actually wearing, and no other customers (or annoying sales assistants). Hmm... does such a shop ever exist?
2. Furniture Shops
I like Ikea. Not for their furniture, but for their cafe - especially when they do the 10 meatballs + chips and gravy for £1 offer, which is a bargain I doubt even David Dickinson would be able to beat? Furniture? Eh?
3. Sweet
As in spogs? How old am I? I can do without sweets, thanks. I went through a phase of gobbling Polos like there was no tomorrow until the sugar high got too much. Nowadays - if you offer me a sweet, I might consider it... as long as it doesn't contain a peanut (Louise buys peanut M&Ms entirely because she knows I won't touch them).
As in desserts? Despite what I've said above, I do have a sweet tooth. Often that's satisfied by fruit - blueberries, raspberries, strawberries... but occasionally when eating out I will have a nice slice of chocolate fudge cake or some ice cream or a lemon cheesecake or... ginger biscuits. I do like a nice ginger biscuit.
4.City
I'm a country boy, so cities do very little for me. I've grown to tolerate Leeds and Manchester as necessary evils over the years, but I'd rather be out on the moors with Heathcliff and Cathy.
5.Drink
Well, as previously discussed, for health reasons I don't drink any more. There was a time I was bosom buddies with my best mate Jack, but those days are gone. If I go into a pub I usually have an orange juice, a tonic (by itself) or a ginger ale. Can't say I even miss it any more...
6.Music
Done. And done. And done. You can have a rest from that today.
7.TV Series
Also done. I could find you the link, but you wouldn't click on it.
8. Movies
And yes, done again.
9. Workout
You wouldn't ever get me in a gym, so my exercise of choice is walking. I try to do the recommended 40 minutes or so a day, maybe a bit more at weekends. Undiagnosable problems with my stamina mean I can't walk as far or for as long as I once could without suffering (not from aches but a weird kind of fatigue) for days afterwards. I'd love to be able to walk more.
10. Pastries
Getting a bit obscure now, aren't we? I can't say I'm a big pastry fan. I prefer the fillings.
11. Coffee
Not any more, either. I probably miss coffee more than I do booze, but I know I'm better off without it. I do still get a hankering when I smell a nice blend... and I could probably go the occasional cup... but I worry after all this time it'd blow my head off (particularly as I only ever drink it black).
All of which makes me seem incredibly dull, no?
Well, you did ask...

7 rants and reactions:
Because you didn't give proper answers to the music/film/TV questions your answers were actually rather like mine - well, other than that you don't drink wine, or coffee or run or like cities. So not so like mine maybe.
But we share a dislike of shopping, and sweeties (spogs??? What are those?) and a lack of interest in pastries.
I don't think you sound dull at all. I might have done if you had answered the TV question!!!
Thanks for doing the meme - I love to read other people's answers.
Have a good weekend.
It's hard not to like those jellybeans (I find them in TK Maxx) which have about eighty different flavours. Most of them have you thinking, "This reminds me of something I gnawed at when I was a kid". (The SS tends to eat them by the handful, which is like eating pear drops, banana, coconut, coca cola and marmite all at the same time).
If you eat the filling, I'll eat the pastry. Dinner sometime?
Sweets aren't as good as they were when I was a kid... with the possible exception of Rolos and Munchies which are superlative and only to be shared with truly worthy friends. I often wonder why no one offers me one...
Thank you. Now I'm craving meatballs and flat-pack furniture! ;o)
This 'done' seems a popular one with you!
Haven't come across it myself!
God, Rol, I'm now worried that you're St Francis of Assissi.
All the best people are alcohol free...
